Students should prepare to take the Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) Accuplacer if they need to register for a 1000-level math class and do not already have a qualifying prerequisite (see below), and their degree plan requires:
The Math Department offers 3-hour review sessions for the AAF Accuplacer test. In order to accommodate as many students as possible, some sessions will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams, while others will be in person. Each session will consist of a brief lecture on topics and sample problems representative of the type of problems on the AAF Accuplacer Test. Students will be given a follow-up worksheet of similar problems with answers to complete on their own time after the session.
Each AAF Accuplacer review session will cover the following topics: linear equations, linear applications and graphs, factoring, quadratics, functions, radical and rational equations, polynomial equations, exponential and logarithmic equations, geometry concepts, and trigonometry.
It is strongly recommended that students attend the entire 3-hour session for a complete review of all topics on the test; however, a student who wishes to attend only part of a session may do so.
Reservations are *not* required to attend these sessions. Search “AAF Review Sessions” within MS Teams or click here to join a remote session.
